Drip Cap 1-5/8" - 3 (WM-197)
This 1-5/8" - 3 drip cap (WM-197) measures 1.625" wide by .687" thick. We advise using 1-7/8" wide four-quarter blanks for milling with commercial equipment. The traditional profile comprises a 1/4" wide by 11/64" deep obtuse lines on the top left. They connect to a nine-degree downsloping line with a 3/64" eased edge on the design's right side. The bottom of the detail consists of a 1-1/4" wide section attached to a 3/32" radius half-round circle, and a 3/16" wide horizontal fillet on the right. These functional trim pieces get installed above exterior windows and doorways to guide water away from the external siding. The semi-circular shape at the bottom allows moisture to gather and drip off the edge; hence the name 'drip cap'.
