Our door rail and drawer front moulding catalog contain mitered cabinet door frames. The stiles & rails are manufactured with solid wood panels using forty-five-degree mitered cuts in the joinery process. The concept is to enclose a floating (not glued) panel within a sturdy, mitered door frame; this will allow for seasonal changes in relative humidity without affecting the structural integrity of the cabinet door frame. Other similar methods of this type of interior cabinet door construction include cope and stick door frames. Where matching male & female profiles join into a stile (vertical) and rail (horizontal), then merge.
If by chance you don't see the profile you desire, send us a sketch; we would be happy to create a custom design, cut an acrylic template, and grind a set of cutters for any pattern you desire. Don't forget; we have an easy-to-use profile knife calculator located directly under every detail in our catalog, offering fast, accurate price quotes to all clients.
When searching perspective door rail or drawer front molding profiles, please use finish width dimensions to narrow down size preferences. We have a few designs milled on the side edge of a piece of lumber; for these types of details, please use thickness dimensions while searching.
