The easiest way to remember the differences between the two mouldings is mullions divide spaces, and muntins divide glass. Mullions are vertical trim pieces located between windows that provide structural support. Concurrently, muntins divide the grid area of individual panes of glass in a wood window. We currently have over eighty styles of mullions/muntins for your consideration; some patterns will have both the cope and stick details. Our profiles include ovolo, chamfered, cyma recta/reversa, quarter round, and eased edge details with a weather stripping groove milled into them after production; some millwork shops will be able to mill these grooves simultaneously with a universal cutter head.
If by chance you don't find what you're looking for, browse our plant on/applied molding category, we have other options available or send us a sketch, we would be happy to design a profile on cad, cut an acrylic template on our CNC machinery, and grind a set of knives on our Weinig R 960 profile grinder for any pattern.
When searching our mullion profiles, please input width dimensions to narrow size preferences. Use thickness measurements for designs cutting from a vertical cutter head on an industrial-style molder or shaper. Enter the dimensions in the minimal box above if you want a specific size.
