A mullion molding
is a slender vertical dividing moulding between the lights of windows, screens, and doors
. When used in dividing adjacent window units, its primary purpose is to provide good structural integrity and support to the arch, horizontal beam, or lintel above the window opening. We currently have over eighty various styles of mullions for your consideration and use, some patterns will have both the cope and stick details. Our profiles include ovolo, chamfered, cyma recta/reversa, quarter round, and eased edge details with a weather strip groove milled into them after production, some millwork shops will be able to mill these grooves simultaneously with a universal moulder spindle.
If by chance you don't find what you're looking for, browse our applied moulding category, we have other options available, or just send us a sketch, we would be happy to design a profile on cad, cut an acrylic template on our cnc machinery, and grind a set of profile knives on our Weinig R 960 profile grinder for any pattern.
When searching our mullion profiles please input width dimensions to narrow size preferences, use thickness measurements if the pattern is milled from a vertical cutter head on an industrial style moulder or shaper. If you're looking for a specific size, enter the same dimensions in the minimal and maximum boxes listed above.
