This Backout/Relief Cut Moulding Knife Design 4" - 2 measures 4.000" wide, with a .063" depth of cut on the bottom horizontal moulding cutter. This profile is designed to be utilized on many of our smaller width baseboard mouldings.
The offset profile is comprised of a 1-7/8" wide, by 1/16" deep plow, with forty-five degree chamfers that transition into a 7/8" wide horizontal fillet on one side of the pattern, and a 1-1/4" wide fillet on the opposite side. This area of the design is generally the bottom side of the baseboard, it will provide ample space for nailing the pattern during installation, while reducing splitting that might be caused by nailing into the voided area on the back side of the pattern. The maximum width this backout could mill is 4-3/4" wide, with the moulder spindle positioned at .000" axially.
Our precise cad drawings contain plenty of information that will assist you during setup and milling of this backout/relief cut profile.
