This Backout/Relief Cut Moulding Knife Design 4-5/8" - 1 measures 4.625" wide, with a .062" depth of cut on the bottom horizontal cutters.
This offset detail can be used on many of our base moulding patterns. The asymmetrical layout is comprised of a 3" wide by 1/16" deep plow flanked by forty-five degree bevels that transition into a 3/4" wide fillet on one side, and a 1-1/8" wide straight fillet on the opposite side. This area of the detail is generally the bottom side of the baseboard, it will provide ample space for nailing the pattern during installation, while reducing splitting that might be caused by nailing into the voided area on the back side of the pattern. The maximum width this set of cutters is able to mill is 5-3/8" wide, when the bottom moulder spindle positioned at .000" axially.
