This Double Backout/Relief Cut Moulding Knife Design 7" - 3 measures 7.000" wide, with a .063" depth of cut on the bottom horizontal set of cutters. The universal profile can be used on many of our larger stylish and creative baseboard, casing, or chair rail mouldings.
The offset profile is comprised of a 1-1/2" wide and a 1-3/4" wide by 1/16" deep plow, flanked by a 7/8" wide fillet in the center, and a 3/4" wide fillet on the inside edge, with a 2-1/8" wide fillet on the outside edge of the pattern. The maximum width these cutters can mill is 7-3/4" wide, with the bottom horizontal moulder spindle positioned at .000" axially. Caution; when milling smaller width size lumber make sure the guide fence is elevated by at least .093" so the unused portion of the profile does not cut into the guide fence, otherwise sparks will fly and you will have to regrind the profile.
We provide the cut steel size on all our moulding designs, this specialized feature allows you to be able to obtain the correct size of knife steel before you start knife grinding procedures and moulding manufacturing.
