This custom 2-3/8" base cap measures 2.375" wide by .687" thick, allowing machining from four-quarter lumber. The lovely profile is composed of a 7/64" broad line segment at a 25/64" thickness dimension on the left, which creates a quirk when applied to a piece of S4S (surfaced four sides) lumber, connected to an elegant three tangent radius cyma reversa that joins to a 27/64" wide half round bead, attached to a 1/8" wide fillet with a 19/64" cove, leaving a 3/32" thickness dimension on the right side of the design. We offer a similar profile in the same width but with different inner sizes for your review and consideration, base cap 2.375" - 6.
