This colonial base cap 2-9/16" - 2 measures 2.562" wide by .625" thickness, permitting the detail to be machined out of four-quarter lumber. The traditional profile is comprised of a 1/4" wide by 1/8" deep sunk fillet at a 1/2" thickness dimension on the left-center, attached to a 21/32" convex arc tangent off of a 3/4" concave semicircle creating the smooth elevation changing cyma reversa in the middle, merged to a 3/16" wide half round bead flanked by 3/32" broad line segments with a 3/16" cove, leaving a 1/8" thickness dimension on the right side of the design.
