WM 129 Base Shoe 11/16" - 1

This standard 11/16" - 1 WM 129 base shoe measures .687" in width by .437" in thickness. The traditional profile design is a straightforward 13/32" radius arc tangent off of a 9/32" broad horizontal line on the top left. The ageless pattern gets used to enhance baseboards while at the same time covering any uneven gaps between the flooring and the bottom of the base moulding. When installed, the profile is secured to the baseboard, not the flooring, to compensate for seasonal changes in relative humidity and avoid splitting the wood.

This professionally drafted cad DXF file contains two high precision template designs to create cutters for this popular base shoe detail, one for milling the image above and the other (not shown) for milling two profiles simultaneously.

Caution: the cutters will come within .010" of the machine bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend a wooden, phenolic, or plastic sacrificial bed plate for these milling operations.
