This stepped 6" - 60 base moulding measures 6.000" wide by 1.000" in thickness, necessitating the use of five-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial molder. The modern tiered profile is composed of a 3-13/16" flat line on the left, connected to a 9/16" wide by 1/8" drop in elevation in the first step. The second tier is 1-1/4" wide by 7/16" deep, joined to a 3/8" wide by 3/16" notch, leaving a 1/4" thickness dimension on the right side of the pattern.
