Bed Mould 2-1/4" - 6

This bed mould 2-1/4" - 6 measures 2.250" wide by .812" thick. Most of these designs have many of the same characteristics; they generally contain a radius or elliptical-shaped arc at the top and a vertical line with an attached cove on the bottom, frequently used in cornice construction below the corona above the frieze board. Bed moulding is considered a transitional piece of trim, which leads to another surface or element, as in a soffit or mantle. In contrast, many crown mouldings get designed to end with a squared fillet at the top. When this pattern is installed, the height becomes, just under 1-11/16" tall, with a projection of 1-1/2", and the spring angles are set at forty-five degrees.
