The stylish profile is comprised of an elongated elliptical shaped arc, connected to a 21/64" radius cavetto that is flanked by a 1/4" tall vertical fillet above, and a 1/4" wide horizontal fillet at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at forty-five degree, these specific bevels set the installed height at 1-7/8" tall, with a projection of 1-3/4" wide. Three high points in the design are positioned on the same level plane, this design practice will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling the pattern on wood moulder.
Please read our commentary about Axial Constant Position for Crown Moulding Bevels, this article will help you dial this profile in axially on the first try when milling this detail on an industrial moulder, provided the moulder is axially calibrated.
