Bed Mould 2-3/4"

This bed mould, 2-3/4", measures 2.750" wide by .750" thick. The conventional profile comprises a 29/32" radius arc at the top, connected to an 11/32" vertical fillet in the center, attached to a 9/16" radius cavetto with a 5/16" wide horizontal fillet at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles get fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees; search our bevels category by the degree to find a set of back bevel cutters appropriate for this popular bed moulding. These specific back angles set the installed height at 2-5/32" tall, with a projection of 1-23/32" wide.

Two high points in the design are intentionally set on the same plane. This design practice will assure excellent hold-down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial-style machine. We recommend using a felt-covered pressure shoe to eliminate any unsightly burnish mark that will be left on the radius arc from the pressure shoe element.
