22.5 Degree Bevel Octagon - 1

This chamfered moulding was designed to manufacture a octagon with eight pieces of wood measuring 3/4" in thickness, widths are adjusted to desired sizes while milling. To assemble, lay the boards flat on a flat table with the face up, then place horizontal pieces of 3M or Scotch # 355 packing tape (this tape will not stretch) across the joints to bring them together. Next, place a strip of tape down the entire joint vertically, and another piece over the taped joint on each side of the first vertical piece, now flip the boards over after taping all the joints, place a bead of glue into the V joint, now fold the boards in a rolling fashion securing the final piece with another piece of tape. After drying use naptha to dissolve the glue, that way you won't raise the grain or cause damage to the wood.
