This 43-degree back bevel cutter is designed to mill a chamfer on the backside of a piece of bed, crown or cove moulding. This bevel design the maximum depth of cut can only be .808" with the maximum height of cut being set at .867". All sprung moulding designs have height numbers near the edge of the degree on the paperwork we provide, that number must be smaller than the height number in the image above, in this case .867" for this knife to be able to cut the entire thickness of the back cut.
