58 Degree Back Bevel Cutter - 1

This 58 degree back bevel cutter - 1 is designed to cut a fifty-eight degree undercut on the left vertical cutter head on a industrial moulder while milling a piece of crown, cove or bed moulding. These knives create only half the determining factor of the final height and projection of the patterns listed above when installed; the other half of the equation is generally a degree that, when combined, equals ninety.

On this back cut layout in the image above, the maximum depth of cut is 1.125", the maximum height of cut is set at .704". Every crown, cove, or bed moulding we design has height numbers near the degree of the angle on the layout paperwork we supply. That number must be smaller than the height number, in this case, .704" for this knife to be able to cut the entire height of the bevel while milling, if not, please select a larger size height bevel of the same degree. We deliberately design all our crown, cove, and bed mould with forty-five degree bevels and under to be milled on the right vertical cutter head, and all forty-five degree and higher back bevels are milled on the left vertical cutter head.
