61 Degree Back Bevel Cutter
61 Degree Back Bevel Cutter
On this knife layout, the maximum depth of cut is 1.000", the maximum height of cut is fixed at .554". Every sprung moulding we design has height of cut numbers near the degree bevel on the layout papers we provide with the acrylic template; that number must be smaller than the height number in this equation, .554", for this knife to be able to cut the entire back bevel while milling. If not, please select a larger size height bevel of the same degree. We purposely lay out all our sprung moldings with forty-five-degree back bevels and under to be milled on the right vertical spindle, and all forty-five-degree back bevels and higher milled on the left vertical cutterhead. Our custom design practice will save thousands of dollars in manufacturing cost over the years, as well as machine setup time.
Try one of our 125% concentration ultimate Borazon grinding wheels. Finish grinding at 3000 rpm with a twenty-degree back clearance angle will create a superior micro edge on all your high-speed steel moulding knives. Here is an article to help you understand how to align a borazon wheel to axial constant position on a Weinig R 960 profile knife grinder. During the machining process, the knives will be capable of milling some of the finest quality architectural millwork you have ever produced.
