This four-tier 3-1/2" - 60 door/window casing measures 3.500" wide by .875" thickness, necessitating five-quarter lumber for milling. The attractive pattern composes a 37/64" broad horizontal line with a 3/32" vertical step, connected to a small ogee consisting of a 1/2" and 5/8" tangent radiuses with a 5/64" steep drop, joined to a 1-9/16" line segment with a 3/32" elevation change that merges with another similar ogee made from two 1/2" radius semicircles. Four-quarter lumber is feasible for this detail if the feed rollers on the machine are kept within the area of the profile that gets milled away by the top cutter head.
