Door/Window Casing 3-1/2" - 63

This contemporary 3-1/2" - 63 door/window casing measures 3.500" wide by .813" thickness, enabling the detail to be milled from four-quarter lumber. The attractive modern profile is composed of a 3/4" broad horizontal line with a 1/8" eased outer edge, connected to a 3/32" deep vertical step that joins to a nine and one-half degree angled line and a 1-5/8" broad flat line in the center; connected to another 3/32" drop in elevation that transition into a 3/4" wide eighteen and one-half degree chamfer, leaving a 5/16" thickness dimension on the right side of the pattern. The profile is oriented in the molder machine, with the taller portion placed against the right inside the fixed fence. This enables the hold-down shoe to be moved outward laterally and placed in the center flat part of the design.
