This stylish 5-1/2" door/window casing measures 5.500" wide by 1.250" thickness, necessitating the use of six-quarter lumber for milling. The visually attractive profile is composed of a 2-1/16" wide flat line with a 1/8" rounded outer edge on the top left, attached to a 1/8" vertical step that joins to a small ogee derived from two tangent 5/16" radiuses with another 1/8" drop in elevation in the center, connected to a 1-15/16" wide horizontal line segment with a 1/8" beveled edge, merged with an additional ogee made up from two tangent 7/16" semicircular convex and concave arcs with a 3/64" eased edge, leaving a 3/8" thickness dimension on the right side of the design. We offer an alternative profile with similar design characteristics in the same width for your review and consideration, door/window casing 5.500" - 12, this pattern will allow the detail to be machined from a smaller thickness lumber.
