Chair Rail Moulding 2-1/4" - 38

This stunning chair rail moulding 2-1/4" - 38 measures 2.250" in width by .750" in thickness, allowing 2-1/2" wide blanks of four-quarter lumber for machining on a commercial moulder. The decorative balanced profile comprises a 13/32" convex arc tangent & flanked by a 13/32" concave semicircle on the top center. The middle connects to a sixty-degree beveled line joined to a small ogee derived from two 9/32" semicircles with a 3/64" eased corner on each side edge of the design.

Caution: the cutters will come within .020" of the machine bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend a wooden, phenolic, or plastic sacrificial bed plate for these milling operations.
