This popular 2-3/4" - 3 chair rail measures 2.750" wide by .750" thickness, authorizing using four-quarter lumber for milling on a commercial-grade molder. The well-balanced profile is prevalent in houses of worship in the western United States; it contains a 1-1/8" wide flat section with a 1/8" vertical step on each side in the top center. It is flanked by two 17.2 degrees beveled lines with 3/64" eased edges that transition the thickness to 3/8" on each side edge of the design.
