This stylish 3" - 99 chair rail measures 3.000" width by .937" thickness, requiring five-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial-grade molder. The classy profile contains a two-tangent radius thumbnail-shaped arc on the top left. The semicircular upper section connects to an 11/64" wide by 5/64" deep perpendicular step and a 1-3/8" broad flat line in the middle. That line segment merges with a 3/32" vertical drop in elevation joined to a small ogee with a 3/64" eased edge on the right side of the design.
