This Victorian-era 3-5/8" - 3 chair rail measures 3.625" wide by 1.125" thickness, allowing the detail to be machined out of five or six-quarter lumber. The old world profile is composed of a 7/8" wide half circle on top, bordered by a 7/64" wide flat line with a 19/32" cove and a 1/4" wide bead on the left, the opposite side retains a 1/4" wide line segment joined to a bidirectional congee derived from a 7/16" cavetto and a 3/8" radius arc in the center, attached to a 1/32" wide sunk fillet that merges with a towering 1/4" wide half circle and a 13/64" wide fillet with a 3/64" eased edge on the right side of the pattern.
