Caution; the cutters will come within .010" of the moulder bed plates when milling this detail. We recommend a wooden, phenolic or plastic sacrificial bed plate be used for these types of milling operations. For safety concerns we strongly suggest an anti-kickback device be installed on the machinery before attempting any milling procedures that involve splitting lumber into multiple pieces.
For knife quoting purposes use the calculator below, we have added only the important measurements. A brief detailed explanation on how to use the calculator is located here. Need some assistance with the dimensions? Print a copy of our fraction - decimal - millimeter chart, place it on the moulder to help operators save time and increase accuracy during machine setup.
Width = .907" / Depth of Cut = .291" (top knives).
