Crown 2" - 13

This Plain Crown Moulding 2" - 13 measures 2.000" wide by 1.375" thickness, this type of crown moulding is milled a little differently than most crowns because it has no back bevels which also referred to as spring angles. These types of profile will cost a little more to manufacture because they are milled from a thicker pieces of rough lumber, in this case, it will most likely be milled from six quarter thickness boards. The profile is comprised of a quarter round bead at the top of the pattern with an attached vertical fillet, cavetto and half round bead with another small fillet at the bottom of the pattern. When milled the profile is oriented in the moulder with the thicker portion up against the inside fixed fence, this will enable the moulder operator to move the pressure shoe element laterally off the fence side and rest down on the small fillet in the center of the design.
