The common profile is comprised of a graceful cyma recta in the middle made up of two tangent radiuses, attached to a 7/16" tall vertical fillet on top. The lower portion of the pattern consists of a 25/64" tall vertical fillet, joined to a 31/64" wide horizontal straight line at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, search our bevels category by these degrees to find back bevel cutters appropriate for this lovely crown moulding, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 2-11/16" tall with a projection of 2-1/4" wide. We have a few other similar style crowns for your review and consideration, Crown 3.500" – 37, and Crown 3.500" – 40.
Two high points in the detail were intentionally positioned on the same level plane, this specialized design feature will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder, providing the pressure shoe is properly set parallel to the bed plates. Utilize some of our user-friendly moulding profiles, all professionally designed by an accomplished woodworker with over thirty years' experience, and former Weinig moulder/grinder field service technician.
