This Beautiful Crown Moulding 3-3/4" - 1 measures 3.750" wide by .750" thickness with a depth of cut of .482" on the right vertical blades, .664" on the left vertical cutters, and a .313" depth of cut on the top horizontal set of moulding knives.
The attractive profile is comprised of a shallow cyma recta consisting of two tangent radius arcs, flanked by a vertical fillets, connected to a 3/8" radius quarter round circle on top, and a 9/32" radius cavetto with a 3/16" wide horizontal fille on the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degree, search our bevels category by these degree to find two sets of back bevel cutters appropriate for this beautiful crown moulding design, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 2-57/64" tall with a projection of 2-25/64" wide. Three high points in the detail were intentionally positioned on the same level plane, this specialized design feature will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder, providing the moulder pressure shoe is properly set parallel to the moulder bed plates.
Would you like to reduce the amount of time it takes to set up the moulder for a milling production run? Perhaps calibrating the moulder spindles axially and radially will substantially decrease setup time while simultaneously increasing production.
