The creative profile is comprised of a 1-25/64" radius cavetto in the center, flanked by a 3/16" tall vertical fillet with an attached 19/64" radius bead on top, and a 21/64" radius circle tangent off of an 11/64" wide horizontal fillet at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, search our bevels category by these degrees to find two back bevel cutters appropriate for this crown/cove moulding design, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 3-1/8" tall with a projection of 2-1/2" wide. Three high points in the detail are intentionally positioned on the same level plane, this specialized design feature will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder providing the moulder pressure shoe is calibrated.
Please read our commentary about axial constant position for crown moulding bevels, the article will help you dial this profile in axially on the first try when milling this detail on an industrial moulder, if axially calibrated.
