This Crown/Cove Moulding 4-3/4" - 1 measures 4.750" wide by .812" thickness with a depth of cut of .555" on the right vertical profile knives, a .789" depth of cut on the left set of blades, and a .416" depth of cut on the top horizontal moulding cutters.
The asymmetrical profile is comprised of a 3-7/8" radius cove in the center, attached to a 1/8" tall vertical fillet and a 13/32" radius quarter round circle on the top, the bottom of the pattern consists of a 5/32" wide horizontal fillet attached to a 13/32" radius quarter round arc. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 3-11/16" tall with a projection of 3" wide. Two high points in the design were intentionally positioned on the same plane, our specialized design features will assure excellent hold down conditions while milling the detail on an industrial moulder, providing the pressure shoe is parallel to the moulder bed plates.
Please read our commentary about axial constant position for crown moulding bevels, the article will help you dial this profile in axially on the first try when milling this detail on an industrial moulder, provided the machinery is axially calibrated.
