Crown Moulding 5-3/4" - 8

This grandiose crown molding 5-3/4" - 8 measures 5.746" width by 1.250" thickness, enabling the use of a six-inch-wide blank of six-quarter lumber for machining sprung (laying horizontally flat) on an industrial-grade molder. The dignified supporting profile contains a recessed 1/8" tall vertical line segment joined to an elliptical-shaped convex arc, and an additional vertical fillet on the top left. The short line connects to a two tangent radius cyma recta merged with a 13/64" cove flanked by tiny line segments in the center. The remaining portion of the pattern consists of a 3/4" tall by 9/64" wide perpendicular lines, attached to a 15/32" quarter round on the design's bottom right side. The fixed spring angles are set at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees and are included in the downloadable DXF file below. These particular back bevels keep the face side of the profile parallel to the wall and ceiling when installed; they also lock in the positioned height at 3-13/16" tall with a projection of 4-1/2" across the top.
