The stylish profile is comprised of a two tangent radius cyma recta, flanked by a 11/16" tall vertical fillet on top, and a 15/32" tall vertical fillet below, connected to a cyma reversa flanked by 13/64" wide horizontal fillet on top, and a 13/32" wide horizontal fillet at the bottom of the pattern. The spring angles are fixed at thirty-eight and fifty-two degrees, these specific back bevels set the installed height at 4-3/4" tall, with a projection of 3-9/16" wide. Three high points in the design were intentionally placed on the same level plane, this specialized design feature will assure excellent hold down capabilities while milling this detail on an industrial moulder machine.
Please read our commentary about Axial Constant Position for Crown Moulding Bevels, this article will help you dial this profile in axially on the first try when milling this detail on an industrial style moulder, provided the moulder is axially calibrated.
