This distinguished handrail 2-1/4" - 24 measures 2.250" wide by 3.000" thickness, permitting the pattern to be machined out of glued-up pieces of four or five-quarter lumber. The distinctive symmetrical profile is composed of 21/32" convex arc on the top center, tangent to two 1/2" concave semicircles that join to two sets of three different size half round beads, divided by a 1-3/32" tall sunk fillet in the center. This area is for grabbing the railing when ascending or descending a flight of stairs.
