This contemporary 2-1/4" - 3 handrail measures 2.250" wide by 2.250" thickness, enabling the pattern to be machined out of glued-up two pieces of five-quarter lumber. The modern profile is comprised of bidirectional 12.529-degree angled lines with 3/64" eased edge on the top, the sides are composed of a 1-1/4" tall vertical line with a 1/8" rabbet and a 7/8" line segment on the lower side edges, the dado for the baluster measures 1-1/2" wide by 1/4" deep.
