Handrail 2-1/4" - 39
This modern 2-1/4" - 39 handrail measures 2.250" width by 1.312" thickness, necessitating using six-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial-grade molder. The attractive, modest profile contains a three-tangent radius semicircular arc on top. The sides retain a 3/8" convex arc tangent to a 1/4" round semicircle and a 7/64" sunk fillet, creating a finger grip area in the center. Joined to a 1/4" round over and a 17/32" vertical fillet with a 3/64" eased edge on the lower corners. The bottom of the design consists of a 1-3/8" wide by 1/4" deep dado for the balusters or balustrade.
