Handrail 2-1/2" - 17

This exquisite 2-1/2" - 17 handrail measures 2.500" wide by 2-3/8" thickness. The rough lumber blanks for milling these types of profiles are generally glued up from stacked four-quarter lumber. The embellished profile is comprised of a 1-15/32" radius semicircle flanked by 9.311-degree angled line on the top, the sides consist of a graceful two tangent radius french curve in the middle, this creates a smooth finger gripping area, the lower portion retains two decorative half round beads, the bottom width dimension is 2-1/4", leaving plenty of room for milling an optional dado for the balusters.
