This timeless classic 2-11/16" - 2 handrail measures 2.687" wide by 2.406" thickness, necessitating the use of glued-up pieces of four-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial moulder. The bread-loaf shaped colonial profile is composed of a shallow 9-3/16" semicircular arc on top, joined to a tangent 7/16" radius circle at full width on the sides, connected to a 1-41/64" concave arc that creates a smooth gripping area for grasping the railing, attached to a 5/16" tall half round bead with a 23/64" vertical line segment on the lower side portion, the bottom retains a 1-1/2" wide by 1/4" deep dado/plow for the balusters or balustrade.
