This contemporary 2-3/4" - 14 handrail measures 2.750" wide by 2.750" tall, enabling the pattern to be milled from glued-up pieces of four, five or six-quarter lumber. The modern profile is composed of a 1-13/16" radius arc with 3/64" eased edges on top, connected to a 9/32" tall line segment that joins to a 3/8" wide congee derived from a 5/32" concave semicircle creating the finger grip area, attached to a 1-7/16" tall double eased edge raised fillet on each side of the design, the centered bottom dado for the balusters measures 1-3/4" wide by 1/4" deep.
