Handrail 2-3/4" - 29

This elegant 2-3/4" - 29 handrail measures 2.750" wide by 2.750" thickness, allowing machining out of glued-up pieces of four-, five-, six-, or eight-quarter lumber. The distinguished profile comprises elliptical-shaped semicircular tangent arcs on top, joined to a graceful concave indentation in the center that serves as a comfortable finger grip area when ascending or descending a flight of stairs. The lower section of the design consists of a 37/64" tall line segment with 3/64" eased edges, joined to a 9/64" sunk fillet with a 5/16" tall half-round bead on the lower sides. The bottom retains a 1-3/4" wide by 1/4" deep dado for balusters or an architectural balustrade.
