This charming 2-3/4" - 3 handrail measures 2.750" wide by 2.750" thickness, allowing the detail to be machined out of glued-up pieces of four, five, six or eight-quarter lumber. The modern profile is composed of a 1-13/16" radius semicircular arc with 3/64" eased edges on top, the sides are comprised of a 5/16" tall vertical line that joins to a two tangent radius ear shaped scotia creating a functional finger gripping area in the center of the railing, attached to a 1-1/32" vertical line with a 5/32" round-over on the lower edge, the bottom retains a 1-3/4" wide by 1/4" tall dado for balusters.
