Handrail 2-3/4" - 39

The contemporary handrail profile consists of a flat top with two 1/4" radius edges. The sides contain a 15/16" vertical line segment with a 1/8" rolled edge that transitions into the 3/4" tall by 5/16" depth finger grip area in the center. The lower section derives from an 11/16" elevated flat line with two 1/8" eased edges. An optional dado for balusters can easily accept widths up to 1-3/4" wide while remaining balanced. This modern handrail, 2-3/4" - 39, measures 2.750" in width by 2.375" tall. The recommended rough wood rip size is 3" wide, utilizing glued-up pieces of four, five, or six-quarter lumber. Due to the knife design, different widths are obtainable for specific needs with a simple radial adjustment of the left cutter head on the moulder.
