This distinguished 2-3/4" - 53 handrail measures 2.750" width by 3.000" thickness, requiring a 3" wide blank of glued-up pieces of four, five, or six-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial molder. The influential profile contains a 1-21/32" wide convex arc on top, flanked by 7/32" fillets with 3/64" eased corners. The symmetrical sides consist of a teardrop-shaped bead bordered by a vertical line above and a 1/8" arc underneath. The round arc connects to a 1-5/16" vertical line segment at a two-inch width in the center. The lower portion retains a 1/8" by 1/8" groove with a decorative 1/4" tall bead on the bottom corners of the design.
