This creative 3" - 11 handrail measures 3.000" wide by 2.500" thickness, allowing the detail to be machined from glued-up pieces of four, five, six, or eight-quarter lumber. The fancy profile is composed of an elliptical-shaped three-quarter round arc on top, attached to a slight chamfer that transitions into a comfortable finger-gripping cove on the sides, joined to a 41/64" tall vertical line segment with a 1/8" round-over on the lower sides, the bottom retains a 1-3/4" wide by 1/4" tall dado for the balusters or balustrade.
