This custom 3" - 14 handrail measures 3.000" wide by 2.750" tall, allowing the detail to be machined from glued-up pieces of four, five, six, or eight-quarter lumber. The designer profile comprises a wave-like two tangent radius semicircular arcs on the top. The symmetrical sides consist of a protruding 21/32" tall half-round bead in the upper portion, connected to a 3/16" tall fillet that transitions into a 1/4" concave finger gripping area, tangent to a 1/4" convex arc with a 57/64" tall, straight line and a 1/8" round-over in the lower section, the bottom retains a 1-1/4" wide by 5/16" deep dado for balusters to fit into when installed.
