This hefty modern 3" - 23 handrail measures 3.000" width by 4.000" thickness, requiring glued-up pieces of four, five, six, or eight-quarter lumber for milling on an industrial molder. The bold pattern contains a bidirectional fourteen-angled top with a 1/8" rounded point in the center. The symmetrical sides retain a 17/32" fillet in the upper portion, connected to a one-inch tall by 3/8" deep channel that forms the finger grip area, merged with a 2-1/8" tall vertical line in the lower section. All the corners within the design have 3/64" eased edges to aid in the finishing process. The plow dimension for the balusters on the bottom is 1-1/2" wide by 1/2" deep, leaving a 3/4" width measurement on each side edge of the dado.
