This elliptical 3-1/4" - 17 handrail measures 3.250" wide by 1.500" thickness, permitting the pattern to be milled out of glued-up pieces of four or solid eight-quarter lumber. The oval profile is comprised of a 3-3/32" radius convex semicircular arc on top. The sides are composed of a 1-5/16" radius that is tangent to the top and a 1-7/32" partial radius on the lower sides, leaving a 1-47/64" flat section on the bottom of the detail.
