This modest floor rail fillet 1-3/4" - 43 measures 1.750" width by .375" thickness permitting the use of resawn four-quarter lumber for machining on an industrial-grade molder. The humble profile is installed between the balusters of the bottom of the handrail and the top of the floor/shoe rail. The detail contains a 1-29/64" convex arc on the top center, flanked by a 3/8" radius concave semi-circle, tangent to a small horizontal fillet leaving a 1/4" thickness dimension on both side edges of the design. We offer a smaller alternative profile for your review and consideration, plant on 1.250" - 99.
