Shiplap Moulding 5-1/4" - 8

This simplistic shiplap siding molding 5-1/4" - 8 measures 5.250" width by .750" thickness, enabling the use of a 5-1/2" wide blank of four-quarter lumber for machining on an industrial-grade molder. The modest profile contains a 3-1/2" wide flat line with a 1/4" vertical step on the top. The lower portion retains a 1-3/4" broad line at a 1/2" thickness dimension; 1/4" of the lower section is hidden beneath the 1/2" tall by 1/4" wide rabbet on the opposite side when installed. When two pieces of lumber get joined, they create a decorative 1-1/2" wide dado, that space is adjustable by moving the top cutter head axial position creating several different width combinations for the channel.
