This 7-1/4" - 3 shiplap siding (WP-115) measures 7.250" wide by .718" thick, permitting the pattern to be machined out of four-quarter lumber. The common down-sloping profile is designed to wick moisture away from the siding joint and onto the exposed face in foul weather. The profile features two 3-3/8" wide 6.289-degree beveled lines divided by a 1/16" wide, steep chamfer in the center, with a 1/16" broken edge on the high points, merged with a slightly angled 1/2" wide line on the left edge; this area will be hidden underneath the rabbet in front of it when installed. When two pieces of milled lumber are joined together, they create a 6-3/4" wide face coverage dimension between the merged boards. We offer a smaller 5-3/8" version of this profile for your review and consideration, shiplap siding 5.375" - 2.
