Shiplap 7-1/2" - 3

Shiplap 7-1/2" - 3
This 7-1/2" - 3 Dolly Varden shiplap siding measures 7.500" wide by .812" thickness. The detail consists of a 1/4" radius half-round bead attached to a 3/16" wide forty-five-degree chamfer connected to a 6-3/4" wide fillet. Typically, Dolly Varden siding has a rabbet on the backside of the pattern, forming a true shiplap when installed; in this case, it is overlapped and face-nailed. This type of siding is milled with the profile on both face sides of a single piece of four-quarter lumber, then resawn at about a three-degree bevel.
